Substrates for cell cultivation based on thermosensitive imidazole copolymers

Abstract. Cell cultures are needed in various fields: the study of cell structure and function, models drug screening, other biomedical applications. Most tissue-derived cells can only grow on solid substrates. Thus, culturing involves three steps: adhesion surface, growth division detachment from surface for further use. Thermo- pH-sensitive polymers promising substances culture coatings. Changes temperature and/or pH drastically change properties, resulting gentle detachment. We synthesized copolymers with pendant imidazole hydrophobic groups that exhibit properties weak polymeric bases capable thermosensitivity due to interactions. Plastic easily be coated by pouring over copolymer solution. The modified plastic is a good substrate adenocarcinomic human alveolar epithelial cells. show strong film high viability after under influence changes.

We report the synthesis by RAFT polymerization of well-defined diblock copolymers bearing carbamoylmethylphosphonate moieties which proved to sorb gadolinium. These poly(diethyl-6-(acrylamido)hexylcarbamoylmethylphosphonate-b-acrylic acid) (P(CPAAm6C-b-AA)) copolymers were able to self-assemble as a function of temperature, above their cloud point value.
